“7.6 quake hits near New Caledonia, hazardous tsunami waves possible.”

The headline of another natural disaster that seems to be commonplace in our troubled world today. Since the turn of the century we have experienced numerous hurricanes, devastating wildfires, tornadoes, winter storms that are now called by name and earthquakes happening with more frequency. Not to mention droughts and volcanoes erupting, nations and the world’s top 20 governments are pointing fingers blaming each other for the cause of these calamities due to their ignorance of “global warming” also known as “climate change.”

Many are asking if this is really the real reason for all the events or are we guilty of ignoring what Jesus told His disciples and us of the signs of the times we are living in;

Mark 13:8 NKJV — “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows.

In 2006, the film, “An Inconvenient Truth,” featuring former Vice President Al Gore was released and was based on the theory that humans and their polluting activities were the reason why the Earth was slowly warming, the polar ice caps were melting at an alarming rate which were causing ocean levels to rise. At the rate that it was rising, regions such as South Florida, Japan and Baja California would be completely underwater by 2018. The debate continues to this present day with adjustments being made to change the definition from “global warming” to “climate change” with no substantial proof to back up the theories that Al Gore and his team of scientists have formulated. As of December 2018 the Florida Keys, South Florida, Japan and Baja California are still above water but still no solid answers can be found.

Luke 21:25-26 NKJV — “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; “men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

Earthquakes in Alaska, Southern Mexico, the South Pacific and Australia are even more signs of what Jesus foretold about the last days. Volcanoes in Guatemala, Indonesia and Hawaii’s most active tennant Kilauea may be a dangerous sign that the Pacific Ring of Fire is heating up. Tsunami warnings are also on the rise due to the recent earthquakes. The lost of lives, property and services are devastating to the ones affected and the need for care, food and housing are great. We are entering into a time where the cry for help is being unheard and the anger of the people could turn uncontrollable.

Can we truly say that God is not trying to get our attention? The so called “climate change” theory can’t be the only reason these calamities are happening? The world, which includes the top 20 nations have turned their back on God and carry on as if they are in control of their own destiny. Jesus told us this would be true;

Luke 17:26-30 NKJV — “And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: “They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. “Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; “but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. “Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

There is one problem with “climate change.” God made a covenant with Noah and mankind after the great flood;

Genesis 8:20-22 NKJV — Then Noah built an altar to the LORD, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the LORD smelled a soothing aroma. Then the LORD said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done. “While the earth remains,
Seedtime and harvest,
Cold and heat,
Winter and summer,
And day and night
Shall not cease.”

Genesis 9:11-14 NKJV — “Thus I establish My covenant with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.” And God said: “This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: “I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. “It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud;

“Climate change” is not the problem. The way we conduct ourselves and treat others is the key. We must turn from our evil ways and live for God so that He may heal our land. Hurricanes, earthquakes and wildfires will continue and if you doubt or question that this may not be true then consider the words of Jesus;

Luke 21:31-36 NKJV — “So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. “Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. “For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
