The Truth Denied

The Truth Denied.

Romans 1:20-23 NKJV — For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

Have we reached the point where we can’t decide for ourselves? The United States is a country that believes in life, liberty and justice for all but somehow we have elected lawmakers who feel that those rights only belong to them and no one else. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, especially Christianity, are considered racist and narrow minded. We now have a generation that are confused and lost without God in their lives. Males identifying as females and using women’s locker rooms. Faith-based adoption and foster agencies required to place children with same-sex couples. Florists and bakers forced to fill orders for same-sex weddings. Critics say these are just a few of the potential results if The Equality Act becomes law.

“Every American should be treated with dignity and respect, but our laws need to protect the Constitutionally guaranteed rights that we have,” says Greg Baylor from Alliance Defending Freedom, a Christian organization which advocates for religious freedom. Many Christian organizations believe that If The Equality Act passes it may lead to a proliferation of instances where Christians and others are being coerced to violate their beliefs in order to comply with such a law.

While introducing the bill, Democrat lawmakers talked about making the protection of same-sex individuals a priority over other Constitutional freedoms. Some of the things in The Equality Act are very disturbing and alarming as far as what they could do to Christian values in this country. While the country waits for the outcome of this bill, prayer is being criticized in the halls of Congress by no other than a Democratic presidential candidate.

Romans 1:24-25 NKJV — Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Rep. Cory Booker – (D)

Democratic hopeful Cory Booker has issued some harsh words of criticism to those who vow to send “thoughts and prayers” in the wake of mass shootings. The left has, for some time, sought to throw shade on Christians who insist that prayer is real and powerful, especially in the ministering of comfort and solace to those who are hurting in the wake of these tragic events. Booker, it seems, has taken the exact same line calling thoughts and prayers “just bull***t.” Harsh words from a person who claims to be a believer in Christ.

The Democratic left has become well-versed in attacking Christians who seek to prayerfully uphold those grieving the loss of loved ones. In an attempt to politicize the issue, critics insist that those who are invoking a spiritual solution are negating all practical steps. Often times, this is not at all true. More recently, after last month’s Synagogue attack, leftists bombarded Twitter with the same anti-Christian sentiments. “Spare us your thoughts and prayers,” Rep. Eric Swalwell tweeted, “It’s an alibi for inaction. You told the NRA yesterday you’d keep dangerous guns in the hands of dangerous people. We will take it from here with action.” Democrat Joaquin Castro simply added that “the time for thoughts and prayers has passed.” Has it? It seems like more prayer is just about exactly what the world needs right now.

Romans 1:28-32 NKJV — And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

Imam Omar Suleiman – May 9, 2019

Judeo-Christian values are no longer a priority as they once were when the United States was founded. In a recent event in the House of Representatives an example of tolerance towards other religions was displayed but it also showed the lack of wisdom our elected leaders have towards mainstream america. Amidst the scrutiny of anti Semitic accusations and violence in two jewish synagogues, Congress invited a special guest. This headline was issued: “House Dems Pick Imam With Anti-Israel Views to Give Opening Prayer in Congress.”

The imam who was invited by Democrats to give the opening invocation in Congress has a long history of promoting an anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian rhetoric. Imam Omar Suleiman, 33, a popular Imam from Texas and founder of Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research, was invited by Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-Texas) to deliver the opening prayer for Ramadan on the House floor.

Though the imam prayed for peace and acceptance, one has to wonder if the prayer was for all people or just the followers of Islam. Multiple media reports have uncovered a number of anti-Israel statements Suleiman has made in the past, where he sided with Palestine’s “intifada” or uprising against Israel and referred to Israel’s military operations as “massacre[s].” According to the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT), Suleiman spoke outside the White House at a rally in 2017 against America’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and move the U.S. embassy there. He was quoted as saying, “Your recognition means nothing to us,” he said in protest, “Your maps mean nothing to us, your embassy is as illegitimate as the occupation it seeks to legitimize. Our land is our land, our dignity is our dignity. Our determination is our determination. Our boycott is our boycott. Our Aqsa [the holy mosque in Jerusalem] is our Aqsa. Our Palestine is our Palestine.”

Moreover, Suleiman has come to Democratic Rep. Ilhan Abdullah Omar’s defense for several anti Semitic comments that she made earlier this year. Omar came under fire for perpetuating anti-Semitic tweets on Twitter, where she implied that a prominent pro-Israel lobby group, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), paid off U.S. lawmakers for supporting Israel. Later, she prompted more outrage when she alleged that some politicians in Washington who supported Israel have dual loyalty. The freshman congresswoman subsequently apologized for the social media posts after attracting criticism from both Democrats and Republicans. Additionally, the House passed a watered-down resolution in March that was meant to censure Omar’s comments but failed to mention the congresswoman’s name.

In a statement to the Daily Caller, Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) said it was “totally unacceptable” that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi allowed Suleiman to give the prayer on May 9th. “He has a long, documented history of comparing Israel to the Nazis and calling them terrorists, supporting the Muslim Brotherhood, inciting violence calling for a Palestinian intifada and the end of zionism, and far more. This was a terribly bad call,” Zeldin told the news website.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 NKJV — For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

In what direction or message do our elected officials want us to follow? The signs they give are very antichrist in nature. The world cannot survive without God. They shout and scream that Jesus is irrelevant but no one can find the answers to Iran, North Korea and all the world’s troubles. We must pray that the U.S. turns back to the one true God and seek guidance. Christians and Jews are under attack from the lovers of deception. There is only one truth. His name is Jesus Christ.

John 14:6 NKJV — Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
