Before Their Time.

1 John 3:11 NKJV — For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another,

We find ourselves looking in the mirror…again. How can people be so cruel? The mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio were shocking and unfathomable. What drives a person to do such a thing? If the answer was given could we really understand? Reporters, analysts and news anchor puppets want to throw out their theories and to make sure to lay the blame on one man’s shoulder. Politicians have followed suit but somehow the reasons they give doesn’t add up.

Ideology – a system of ideas and ideals, especially one which forms the basis of economic, political or religious theory and policy. Supporting or opposing beliefs may be a reason for the violence unleashed on the innocent but these acts were based on deeper primal reasons – jealousy and hate. These emotions played a part in another senseless loss of life back in the beginning;

Cain and Abel – File / Archive

Genesis 4:3-10 NKJV — And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the LORD. Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the LORD respected Abel and his offering, but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell. So the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? “If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?” And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.

Cain could not understand why his offering was not accepted but instead of finding out why and finding a solution for God’s approval he let his jealousy and hatred of God’s favor for Abel and angrily took out his rage upon Abel. As for the Dayton and El Paso shootings, the hatred towards humanity is quite apparent. One drives 650 miles from Allen, Texas (north of Dallas) just to target Hispanics, as authorities believe, and the other kills his sister in the rage he displayed before the Dayton police shot and killed him.

Left wing pundits are quick to blame the right only this time one of the perpetrators may be one of them. No matter what they believed, 31 lives were lost by their violent actions. The emptiness we feel inside is because as a soçiety we have forgotten to seek God and the solutions that politicians and civil leaders have never solves the problem or need at hand.

The rhetoric of gun control, background checks and weapon bands is common after this kind of tragedy but like someone with a blow horn yelling their agenda, once their speech or press conference is over the crowd that had gathered to hear quickly dissipates because there is no comfort in their words. ‘Beto’ (which is not his real name) O’Rorke, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden scream that white supremacy, racial bigotry towards illegal immigrants and hatred from the White House is the reason for the violence and are talking points they use to explain the era we live in. “Take away the guns!” they shout but there are many who feel differently and the message from a concerned follower in Christ in South Carolina reflects a sentiment many feel around the country,

“Guns are not the issue. A gun has never fired itself. The Issue, as I see it, is a moral decay issue. No spoken rhetoric will cause someone to pull a trigger in a crowd for the purpose of killing innocent people. For 50 years the moral decay of our society where 3 year olds are being told if they feel like a girl then be a girl, the school system has indoctrinated our children with lies and propaganda. God has been removed from the schools, the square and from the church. Christians stand by blindly allowing the LBTQRSTUVWXY to march in our streets half naked in complete deprivation. There are more fatherless families today than ever in history. Babies are being slaughtered by the millions. Our society has blinders on, our eyes are blind and our hearts are evil. Until God is once again feared and worshiped as the King we are not going to get any better. Our Government has sold its soul for a dollar in their evil assent into the pit of hell. This is just to name a few and there is much much more ………… ITS A HEART PROBLEM due to complete SIN.”

Do we have the faith to trust in the Lord to help us or are we giving up?

Hebrews 11:6 NKJV — But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

And that’s the obstacle we face. Terror and death we see and each day our faith is tested. We have no idea what the day will bring and that should encourage us to put our trust in God for solutions in this troubled world. Families are in mourning because of hate and we must pray that we find the right words to give comfort to those who are hurting.

May God comfort and bless the families that have been affected by these tragedies. May they always be in our prayers.

Matthew 5:4 NKJV — Blessed are those who mourn,

For they shall be comforted.
