Eve Tempted in the Garden

Genesis 3:1-6 NKJV — Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; “but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ” Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. “For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

To be like or to be equal to God. This temptation has been with us since the beginning. Satan deceives by telling us that there will be no consequences if we partake of the forbidden fruit, whatever it may be at the time of our test of character, because we will be just like God. What Satan deliberately omits is that we were not created to replace God and take His place. We were meant to fellowship with God, be fruitful, multiply and enjoy the everlasting blessings He had created for us.

Disobedience, despite the provisions God had given Adam and Eve, there was one condition (rule) they had to follow. Eating the forbidden fruit was not allowed and yet, with the prompting of the serpent, they chose to disobey God and were removed from the Garden of Eden never to return. Many biblical scholars regard this disobedience as the “original sin” and it is because of this “original sin” that the world will find itself in the midst of what many believe will be the tribulation period, Daniel’s 70th week.

Determined to make their own path to perfection and tranquility, the human race has driven themselves to the brink of extinction. As we continue to examine future prophesied events, a “New World Order” leader has emerged but unrest is still present in all the world. To insure his grip on world supremacy, this new leader will arrange a treaty with Israel to honor their sovereignty that will allow the Jewish people to rebuild their Temple and begin daily sacrifices required by the law of Moses to atone for their sins.

If we follow the prophecies of Ezekiel 38 and 39, which many end-time teachers believe will happen before the tribulation, this “covenant” that is signed between Israel and this new “king” is an insurance policy to prevent the God of Israel in interfering with this new “king’s” world domination plans.

The peace between Israel and the “One” world leader will be a tension filled uneasy peace. The intention of this Global leader is not to give the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob any recognition. No sooner than the ink becomes dry on the treaty, the tribulation period begins. With the famines, pestilences, earthquakes, wars, offenses and betrayals spoken of by the Lord in Matthew 24, which is also addressed to Israel, this “New World” leade is not willing to take blame or responsibility for the problems plaguing the Earth at that time. Somehow, Israel is not affected by these calamities and they are never running short of basic and essential needs. The so-called other “kings” of the world demand answers and that the Jewish people must fall in line and be put in their place. Most likely, a propaganda campaign will be spearheaded by the “New World” leader blaming Christians and Jews for the plagues tormenting mankind. The “One Vision” news media and internet provider will flood the airwaves and “state-only” approved social media with this false narrative. The leader will then announce that he has a plan to end the horrors that plague the Earth and will invite heads of state, dignitaries and guests of his choosing to a grand ceremony at the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. Leaders from Israel and the High Priests of the Temple will also be invited to the event. If anyone has not guessed who the true identity of this leader is then it is becoming increasingly clear that he is the Antichrist.

The New Temple

Daniel 9:27 NKJV — Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate.”

3 ½ years of peace will be broken. After shredding the treaty for all to see, the Antichrist stands in the Holy of Holies inside the Temple and declares himself to be God and the God of Israel. Standing vindicated and defiant, the Antichrist claims the House of God as his own and demands the Jewish people to worship him and him only.

The world will be in shock. What’s astonishing about this proclamation is that it comes from a person who openly blasphemed God, promoted false doctrines and claimed that God did not exist. – A big bang theory, ancient alien beliefs, evolution and happenstance are the philosophical views promoted in our society today. There is no God, they believe, because there is no proof. These are teachings that Satan and ultimately the Antichrist and the False Prophet spread and will spread all over the world. According to them, God does not exist then all of sudden, the Antichrist will proclaim that he is God and that they should believe in him. Then, literally, all “hell” will break loose. Jesus also foretold of this moment.

Matthew 24:15-21 NKJV — “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. “Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. “And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. “But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! “And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.

In all probability, the Jewish people will flee, having mistrusted the Antichrist all along. The rest of the world accepting a new way of life, new theology, economics and devotion to this so-called, “deity” by receiving the mark of the beast is reprehensible but it is too late, their fate has already been sealed.

The rejection of the Jews and the followers of the True Messiah Jesus, will be an insult and the ultimate gesture of disrespect that the Antichrist will plan to make them (Jews, Christians and anyone who does not bare his mark) pay for their so-called “insurrection.” The second half of the “Great” Tribulation, the final 3 ½ days of Daniel’s 70th week, will be devoted to preparing for Armageddon, the world having heard enough of these “Chosen People of God” and gather their armies along with the Antichrist’s 10 nation fighting force, to finally rid the world of the Israelites and their Holy Land.

When the Israelis flee to a place of protection and safety provided for them by God Jehovah, the King of the East’s army, numbering 200 million, literally marches through the eastern hemisphere to Armageddon. .
The Antichrist is determined to settle the score once and for all. He has worked too hard to see his empire slip away. Like empires and kingdoms of the past, it seems another will vanish in a “twinkling of an eye.”

They will gather in a quiet, level valley in Israel surrounding the hill called in the Hebrew tongue Har Megiddo (Armageddon).

In part 9 of our “Where Do We Stand?’ series, we will look at the final days of this future regime. We will also re-examine the path the United States and the world has taken and come to the understanding that even though prophetic events may be unavoidable, we still have time to turn our lives back to the Lord and find the peace and salvation He provides.
