A Troubled State.

Ephesians 6:10-18 NKJV Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints;

If all the world’s a stage, then maybe a ringside seat is needed for the “UFC” fight between good and evil. A fight that will take place in the very near future.

Matthew 16:1-4 NKJV — Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing Him asked that He would show them a sign from heaven. He answered and said to them, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; “and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. “A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.” And He left them and departed.

The atmosphere that is currently consuming the world is indicating that trouble and mayhem are just around the corner. Exposure of the wicked and the unrighteous is becoming more commonplace because the “lies” embedded in their progressive, ungodly agenda is too difficult to conceal.

The collapse of the “Great Society” is being witnessed by all who can see and decipher the coded messages delivered by the power elite. Not willing to answer the questions that matter and offering no solutions to the many issues facing our world today. Mass shootings in Georgia, Texas and Tennessee have raised questions on why, especially, the causes that brought on these horrible acts, why is this a reality in our lives today? The President and his administration are more concerned about going “green,” transgender indoctrination, border abandonment, bowing to the rise of China and covering up their own corruption.

The mainstream media is in desperate hysterics trying to explain the chaos, but their narrative is not holding water. The reasons for all this turmoil are quite clear. Executive orders, big city mayors soft on crime, states screaming for reparations instead of decorum and a lack of a police presence because of the irresponsible defund the police movement. The obvious trouble plays out before us, but our leaders tell us, “there’s nothing to see here” and look the other way.

Lawlessness surrounds us everywhere, but this is nothing new. The Apostle Paul, in a letter to The Thessalonians, wrote about this dynamic during their time, but since mankind has a bad habit of not learning from history, what Paul wrote in his epistle is again a problem now, but he also tells us the consequence of this behavior.

2 Thessalonians 2:7-12 NKJV — For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

“Taking it to the streets” seems to be the most popular way for the unruly, unlawful and unrighteous to show their disdain towards law enforcement. What they don’t realize is that lawlessness does not mean liberty and freedom. To be lawless is to be contrary to the law or to act without regard to the law.

1 Timothy 1:5-11 NKJV — Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk, desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm. But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust.

Laws are necessary in a sinful world and those who choose to act lawlessly further sin in the world. The word for “lawlessness” in the Bible is often translated “iniquity.” According to the Bible, the root of all lawlessness is rebellion.

Unfortunately we are subjected to press conferences by our leaders and opinionated newscasts by the media propagating a lie as the truth. The further we are steered away from the Truth the closer we get to the arrival of the “Lawless One” who is also known as the Antichrist. A closer look at the passage in 2 Thessalonians focuses on what this leader will do and we are experiencing a sample of that now.

2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 NKJV — The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

The door has been opened for the “Lawless One” to walk right in and take center stage in the “wrestling ring” known as the world.

The Word of God prophetically tells us this will happen and maybe there’s nothing that can be done to stop it, but whatever time we have left, we must go out and preach the Gospel for it is the only message with hope and a promise, – eternal life, peace and rest for all who receive and accept Jesus Chris as their Lord and Savior.

Soon, this time of grace will come to a conclusion, we must remain ready, with our lamps glowing, waiting for His return. May the Lord’s words, found at the end of the book of Revelation, burn earnestly in our hearts.

Revelation 22:20-21 NKJV — He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
