The power of the left hand. Is there really a difference between a right-hander and a left-hander? For someone like Babe Ruth, the power in his left hand enabled him to hit 714 home runs and propel him to a hall of fame career in major league baseball. In NASCAR, turning left is essential if you’re trying to win the Daytona 500.

Rafael Nadal has won the most French Open tennis titles, with twelve (which is also a record for any player, male or female, in any one of the four major tournaments) and also holds the record for the most consecutive wins in the Open Era, with five from 2010 to 2014. So maybe there is something to being powered by the left? To a world that is designed for the right side of things, being left-handed can be considered quite unique.

Although our hands are part of the same body, they still represent two different sides. We find the same dilemma with the human race. Sure there are the obvious differences – male, female, black, white, yellow, brown and red – languages and cultures blend together and seperate at almost the same time and yet we can’t seem to tell the difference between right and wrong or to be more specific, righteous and unrighteous – Godly and ungodly. We seem to be giving the appearance of walking away from the ways of God.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 NKJV — For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

We see the “right” vilified on a regular basis. The mainstream media, progressive politicians, Hollywood celebrities and sport figures lecture the “right” on how they should act and behave as though they were little children without a clue. Promising free rewards as long as they endorse lawlessness, corruption and immorality. Lies and deception are the new “norm” instead of truth and honesty. Why does it seem that our nations and leaders are bent on repeating the sins of the past? The “left,” also known as the progressive, anti-conservative, liberal part of the human race has begun another round of fear mongering due to new concerns about COVID-19 involving President Donald J. Trump.

In the early morning hours of October 2, 2020, it was disclosed that President Trump and the First Lady had contracted the COVID-19 virus and once again the pandemic became the top story for all to consume but this time it turned personal and vicious.

Pundits from the liberal left began to criticize and accuse those who supported the President as irresponsible, careless and dangerous. Not only targeting President Trump but they pointed out conservative groups and Christians as the cause and blame for COVID-19. Ignoring evidence that the virus originated in China, the attacks have revealed the vile nature of the left and it’s support of ungodly lifestyle issues. The state of New York and the Governor are now proposing a mandatory shutdown of all religious sanctuaries which would mean all Christian and Catholic churches would close and run the risk of imprisonment if they continue to have worship services if the mandatory lockdown comes into effect.

This proposal is in anticipation of a fundamental change in the power structure of the U.S. Government. To take away the right of freedom of religion and to gather to freely worship is one of the first steps the enemy – in this case, Satan- is taking to silence the Gospel and deny the Salvation of the Lord to the world.

Isaiah 5:20-21 NKJV — Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes,
And prudent in their own sight!

Woe is defined as having great sorrow or distress and that is what awaits the unrighteous if they do not turn away from their wicked ways, humble themselves before God and ask for forgiveness. The actions of the left are becoming increasingly clear that they desire a life without Godly guidance and believe the lie the serpent told to Eve about being equal or better than God by partaken of the forbidden fruit whatever that fruit may represent in our time of testing.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 NKJV — But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

The Word if God tells us that in these latter days we will be witness to such people and we should be diligent in the ways of God and pray for those leaders and influencers to be drawn closer to the Lord.

We must remember that there are forces, evil forces working to destroy, devour and eliminate the freedoms that we enjoy in the United States and anywhere where people are free to worship God and live a righteous life. The chaos and uncertainty we see is a prelude to what the world will be like when the Antichrist comes into power.

There’s nothing wrong being left-handed or right-handed. We are all part of one body but our body needs healing and our hope is Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

2 Thessalonians 2:9-17 NKJV — The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.
