Isaiah 5:20-21 KJV — Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

5:58, scripts are ripped, anchors take their place, cameras find their mark. Master control counts down from 5, the director takes control, the open rolls and the news is LIVE in 3-2-1…

Every night from New York to Memphis, TV stations gear up to bring the viewing audience the evening news. Local, state, national and yes, the weather and sports. The audience tunes in with the belief that all the facts have been checked and verified. We get used to watching our favorite anchors and reporters and when 6:30 comes around we tune into the national evening news. Reports are given but are we getting the whole story? In an era that’s filled with anonymous sources and “fake” news, how do we know an objective view or an opinion that’s filled with a hidden agenda is what we are looking for?

Exodus 23:1-2 KJV — Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness. Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:

The media has always had a reputation of exploiting the unfortunate events of others. The more tragic, the more heartbreaking and the more sensational is better. If the story is heartwarming then it’s regulated to the end of the newscast. In the past 18 to 20 years there has been a rise of misinformation and hostility towards conservative based agencies and supportive of left wing radical policies that aim to take away civil liberties that are constitutionally granted to the American public.

Exploiting students and children under 18 to promote the left’s anti-second amendment right and to create “common sense” gun control laws has been one of the top stories the media has covered. Networks like CNN and MSNBC refuse to acknowledge the lengths that local, state and the federal government has taken to enforce stricter gun laws and insist that the system is broken but can’t tell you how. Analysts appear on the news channels to theorize the motives of the parties involved in any given topic but in most cases fail to be objective with their solutions.

Openly suggesting that lawless actions in California, racial violence, hate speech and endorsing subversive actions in government agencies are good for the country is irresponsible at best. The credibility of the mainstream media has hit an all time low and the viewings audience is demanding a change. Social media is becoming more of a source for news even though a lot of these sites still fight a credible identity.

God desires us to be truthful in all our ways. When we witness to those who need answers to their problems, truth in our testimonies is key when we’re trying to relate to those who are lost. Salvation is available to anyone who is willing to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Deliverance from evil is what the heart desires. Everlasting life is the promise God provides. No strings, no hidden agendas to achieve a life of peace and happiness.

Endorsing evil and rebellion is not the way to convince someone of a way of life or to make choices in life. Honesty and integrity are tools the news media desperately needs to display to have the nation to put their trust in them. God will always be our source for truth and justice. Pray that His Holy Spirit will guide you and comfort you.

Psalm 25:20-21 KJV — O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee. Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
