The Rising Tide

.

What exactly is emerging from the sea of humanity and the rising tide of concern it brings? In the current stage the world is in, is it prepared for a complete meltdown of the global economic system it has built and nurtured for so long?

.

The G7

.

Founded in 1975; The Group of Seven (G7) is an international intergovernmental economic organization consisting of the seven largest IMF (International Monetary Fund) – advanced economies in the world: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States are the members of this organization. As of 2018, the seven countries involved represent 58% of the global net wealth ($317 trillion) and more than 46% of the global gross domestic product (GDP) based on nominal values, and more than 32% of the global GDP based on purchasing power parity. The European Union is an invitee to G7.

.

With so much involved, the fear of an economic collapse because of a world-wide pandemic is a very real concern for these world leaders. In the early part of 2020 we have seen tremendous prosperity in the world markets come to a grinding halt. Like many other nations, the United States is struggling to re-open. The struggle has also revealed the division that is deeply rooted in the country. The constitutional right for religious freedom has also been threatened. In some states, governors have issued orders, disregarding the Constitution of the United States, to disallow parishioners to gather in sanctuaries of worship and be subject to fines and imprisonment if they do.

.

Empty Shelves

.

Food shortages, housing problems and political corruption have taken a mighty nation to the brink of another civil war and a possible dissolvement of the “sweet land of liberty.” All this happening “in a twinkling of an eye.”

.

Does the G7 have an answer to the world’s problems or are they waiting for someone, a “messiah,” a “deliverer” who will lead us to the global utopia we all have been hoping for or are we asking for trouble? Jesus has this caution for us;

.

Matthew 24:4-5 NKJV — And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. “For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.

.

Although our economic and government systems are complex they also have the capacity to be very fragile and prone to wreckless catastrophic failure. Because of this, we are easily persuaded to ideologies that don’t necessarily line up with the will of God. History has given us Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini and Ramesses the Great, who all promised greatness and everlasting prosperity if the people would blindly pledge their allegiance to them, only to kill, terrorize and enslave their subjects and lead them to a path of destruction.

.

Washington D.C. – USA

.

America’s response to the latest world crisis could determine the fate and longevity of a nation and its allies. The economy is essential for the survival of the largest countries of the world but so is the spiritual health of those nations.

.

John 15:1-7 NKJV — “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. “Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. “You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. “If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

.

The message the Lord is giving is very clear. Without Him there is no way to survive. The enemy is waiting and eager to cut you off from the source that will give you everlasting strength and life. The United States was founded under Judeo-Christian values, which means that everything contained in the 66 books of the Holy Bible are the foundation for our beliefs, convictions and our pursuit for happiness.

.

Revisionist and separatist would like to argue otherwise and before the COVID-19 pandemic plans were being made to geographically divide the country into separate ruling entities. Has the United States entered into a “winter of discontent” or has the way of life they have grown so accustomed to in need of a fundamental and physical change?

.

The tide of discontent began to gain traction in the latter part of the 20th Century, particularly in the 1990’s. The 9/11 attacks revealed how vulnerable the country was to terror attacks but it also showed how quickly the world can change. Throughout the Bush, Obama and now, the Trump Administration, the unrest and social disparity has reached a critical point.

.

Unrest in America

.

Less government control, living on their own terms and having the ability to obey federal laws that only coincide with their political agendas. These are some of the issues that certain states in the U.S. have argued. They claim that the federal government has been infringing on state rights and are in violation of the 10th amendment of the constitution. If you mention the word “secession” most people think of the South during the Civil War, but today, a new movement is gaining steam. A number of conservative, rural Americans are talking about seceding and creating their own states, meaning a new map of the United States of America. A 51st state called Jefferson, made up of Northern California and Southern Oregon, a new state called Western Maryland and a new state called North Colorado are some of the proposals that have been presented.

.

The desire for something different can also be felt in Arizona, Michigan and in California where it has entertained the idea of becoming its own independent republic. Movements like these are gaining traction because voters and the public are tired of issues that are important to them are ignored or being tabled by state legislatures. The atmosphere of recent events in our country has led to an argument that state’s rights as the main reason for the Civil War. Historians and revisionists will note that there were other factors that contributed to the war but acknowledge that state’s rights and federal overreach were both the number one reason.

.

Racial violence, social unrest, distrust in our local and federal governments, an uncommitted decision on immigration reform has driven the country to the breaking point. We must pray that our nation stays together and that our leaders find a way to help and solve the problems that are destroying the American dream.

.

Matthew 21:22 NKJV — “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

.

Seattle, Washington – USA

.

The Lord promises that we can witness change if we pray. If the United States continues this path of separation it can only lead to chaos and destruction. A change for the best can only come when we educate ourselves on the issues and vote. Continually praying to God for wisdom and guidance, that it will bring peace to these ongoing conflicts. Pray that the Lord will bring us the leaders that will work to preserve what our forefathers intended when our nation was founded.

.

The Lawless One Awaits

.

There is one who awaits for his opportunity to lash out his brand of government, power and control over the whole world. A narcissistic, egocentric villain from a James Bond movie he is not, but the evil he will bring is very real and the Word of God tells us that he is on the way. A collapse should be avoided but only if God is first.

.

In part 5 of our “Where Do We Stand?” series, we will take a look at the scriptures describing this future world leader and the world’s inevitable fate.

.

Daniel 11:24 NKJV — “He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his forefathers: he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and riches; and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time.
