Selfie(s)

Capturing the moment. Getting caught up in the excitement of the atmosphere that’s surrounding us. We have just got to let people know where we are. The “Selfie” bug infects all of us…

Including me, myself and I. We point, aim and “click,” the moment in time is there for the whole world to see.

Selfies are great and for the most part, a lot of fun. In many ways, they give us a glimpse of a person’s character. We post them on social media platforms and eagerly await for the coveted “likes” and smiley face emojis that feed our very fragile egos.

We seek attention and gratification, but instead of seeking the peace and self-assurance the Holy Spirit provides, we try to achieve this on our own.

The era of “look at me!” resonates all over the globe, but the power of self-recognition is being twisted and used to influence and lead our society on a path of dire consequences.

The continuing war between Russia and Ukraine, an unprecedented tropical storm ravishing southern California and a tragic, fatal wildfire on the island of Maui in Hawaii has raised questions about motives, causes and the origins of these and many more tribulations our world is going through. Leaders, at home and abroad, are more concerned about their agendas, policies and unlawful secrets than finding a solution to the trails the planet is facing.

Why is this happening? Have we lost our way and are we running out of time?

2 Timothy 3:1-9 NKJV — But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.

The description 2 Timothy 3 gives is exactly what our world is experiencing in the days we are living. Globalism is the ideology being preached by the power elite. Since the beginning of the 21st century, the globalization of the world has been on a full court press to make every nation exist on equal ground. The philosophy is meant to convince mankind that the planet can live as one, share resources and achieve the peaceful utopia that has been so elusive.

The problem with globalism is that it is a false hope. It does not have room for God and His Holy Word and absolutely no love for your fellow man. The concept of utopia has been a hope since the expolsion from the Garden of Eden, but a kingdom without God is, unfortunately, destined to fail and be doomed. History has taught us that Babylon, Persia, Egypt, Rome and yes, even the Third Reich of Adolf Hitler, all failed because they refused or defied the sovereignty and divinity of God Jehovah, the Great I Am.

Just like the historic tale of Emperor Nero “fiddling” while Rome burned, the current U.S. administration seems determined to indoctrinate the United States into the globalist movement.

Word salads, evasive, deceitful briefings and shore leave on a Delaware beach are more of a priority than fixing what ails a struggling nation. The headlines leading the news are noticing the disturbing trend.

Karine Jean-Pierre refuses to answer question about Biden family’s China ties

(NEW YORK TIMES)

Slacker-in-chief Biden keeps up record 40% ‘vacation’ pace despite disasters.

Critics, adversarial opponents and a growing number of the general public are pointing out the lackluster performance of the administration, but notice how quick they are to cover up any hint of improprieties or scandals surrounding them.

Offering pseudoscience reasons like “climate change,” “high emissions” (according to a report from Climatewire published in July 2023, U.S. emissions fell by 5 percent, or 105 million tons, compared to the same time last year) and even saying that there wasn’t enough time to address all the issues facing the Biden presidency, but had time for surf and sand in Delaware.

From East Palestine, Ohio to Lahaina in Maui, Hawaii, the optics of a President turning his back on his country is becoming very clear. It’s a “Selfie” no one should want to claim.

Again, the Word of God tells us what we should expect from our “masters,” or in this case, “leaders,” but warns us when we follow the wrong ones.

1 Timothy 6:1-10 NKJV — Let as many bondservants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and His doctrine may not be blasphemed. And those who have believing masters, let them not despise them because they are brethren, but rather serve them because those who are benefited are believers and beloved. Teach and exhort these things. If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself. Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

The secret behind globalism is absolute power and not the “green energy” that the elite propagate, but the “green” that’s needed to sustain their way of life. The globalist, power elite, the Cabal, the Illuminati or the great deceiver, who appears as an angel of light, Satan wants you to believe that a New World Order is the best way and many around the world and in the United States believe this to be true and are paving the way to a tribulation no one has ever experienced before. Are we near the end? Maybe sooner than we would like, but remember this;

John 3:16-20 NKJV — “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. “For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

Selfies are a lot of fun and many happy memories can be remembered from them. Rest assured many more will be taken.

We live in perilous times, but know that the Lord Jesus Christ is with us always. He is the shelter from the storm.

1 Timothy 6:11-16 NKJV — But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.
